Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.Matthew 5:8
Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.Deuteronomy 32:14
How good it is to spend time in the Word of God daily. It uplifts the soul, instructing us in the way of righteousness, of holiness, of purity. All we have to do is take what we read and apply it to our lives by obeying it. That’s it. God’s commandments are not burdensome, but were designed by God to meet the needs of all people, everywhere. We are all make in the image of God to think, reason, imagine, love and live a life of purity before God and man. Living for Jesus is the ultimate in goal and purpose. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved! How good it is to go a whole day without doing anything that would displease God. Spending time in the Word, praying without ceasing, loving God and others. It pleases me greatly to know that I’m living in a way that pleases God. That is my reward, at the end of the day, to see Jesus smile and be proud of me. To please my heavenly Father by following His Son.
The Word says we are body, soul and spirit. It’s good to take care of the body as well. I enjoy eating healthy food like fresh juices and fruit smoothies. It pleases me well when I can go a whole day eating only things that are healthy to the body. There is a parallel between the spiritual and the physical. I find when I do what is right spiritually, it is that much easier to also do what is right physically. I encourage you to follow the example of so many that have gone before us, living life to the fullest by following Jesus. This is the only way to eternal life. We must be good stewards of our bodies and our spirits, which belong to God. No longer should we live unto ourselves, but unto God, who raised Jesus from the dead. Glory to God, amen. Let’s go 24 hours without sin. Then let’s do it again and again. Soon a lifetime will pass and we will be found faithful to Christ. Eternal pleasures await the faithful in Christ Jesus. Love God and love others. This is the height of our calling. We can do all things in Christ which strengthens us!
