Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.2 Chronicles 30:27
O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.Psalm 65:2
Prayer is a sacred opportunity to talk to God and have Him answer back. God made all people in His image so that we could have a relationship with Him. God loves it when we cry unto Him! He’s the Father of all spirits! He’s the faithful Creator!
God has simple rules for prayer. He delights in the prayers of the upright. We must be holy as He is holy. Then we have an audience with God through His Son Jesus Christ, who ever lives to make intercession for us. We must pray in faith, knowing that God is hearing our voice and is answering our request. We must pray the will of God.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.1 John 5:14-15
We serve a great God that delights in our prayers. Let’s make sure to keep our hearts with all diligence, so that God can answer our prayers. We pray the will of God. His will is that none would perish, but that all would come to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. When we pray for the good of others, we are praying God’s will. We can have confidence before the Lord if our heart condemn us not. If our heart condemns us, then we simply must ask the Lord’s forgiveness in Jesus Christ’s name.
God needs our prayers. Our prayers give Him the right to act in the affairs of people that may not want Him. God covets our prayers. Oh how He longs for His people to call upon Him in Truth! Let us heed the admonition of Christ and Paul to pray without ceasing. It should be a habit throughout the day to call upon the Lord. Have confidence, the Lord delights to answer your prayers!
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.Isaiah 65:24
